Long time, no see
Sorry I haven't answered back in a long time. Currently moving to other areas in wiki for the time being, most recently politics and history.
You probably remember the misleading news headline in the Xbox article, Brazil4Linux is still active under that name in wikinews. However, Brazil4Linux has abandonned his original wikipedia account and I have no idea what his new name is (Microsoft Fanboy was a temp til he got B4L back), but if he pops up and starts vandalizing, we will known about it...
Again, let me know if you need any help. GoldDragon 20:33, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Brazil4Linux's Userpage
Have you seen Brazil4Linux's Userpage? He is claiming he abandoned his account because of harassement than the reality of his indefinite ban. How are you doing? Jedi6 04:48, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
who is 201.58.153.33
Is there any way that you could uncover this anon user ? He seems to be stalking me, reverting my articles and it doesn't matter whether they are politics or video games.
There is also one or some anon users that are recently messing up the Xbox page, such as 201.58.163.84 and 205.188.116.5 (is Brazil4Linux back in some incarnation?)
GoldDragon 10:30, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- I much appreciate your help on IP identifications. If there is no way to stop him from his dynamic IP, every single article I edited would have to be semi-protected... On the plus side, the person that I've been having an edit war with in politics, CJCurrie, is a respectable editor that plays by the rules, so he might understand what Brazil4Linux is doing.

Watch Out
You might want to watch out for this user,User:Daniel and Amanda Davis, seems to be mocking you. Jedi6-(need help?) 00:07, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- The user is banned now, the user attacked my user page, reverted my contributions and finally redirected Fuck and Nerd to your User page. Sigh, it was probably the anon. on the Nintendo page. Jedi6-(need help?)
- Argg. The user went on to create seven sockpuppets and ten anon. IP's to attack ten pages of my contributions up to ten times. At the end five admins. were needed to finally stop the vandal. What did I do to make him so angry? Jedi6-(need help?) 01:46, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello
This is one of the two administrators involved in the 4Linix issue. Shall I change all sockpuppet flags to that name, if it really is him? Or will we need more evidence to shift the blame to him? Deckiller 03:00, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I may have to pull out of the investigation for now (going to go to bed soon), but please keep me posted and tell me if I can do something. Deckiller 03:03, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks. If I have some time before I go to bed, I'll get on it. If not, feel free to post it. Deckiller 03:05, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- I fixed the tags on his sockpuppets. This IP trace will be key if this starts to escalate even more. Deckiller 03:17, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- The incident seems to have been halted for the time being (I s-protected some pages for an hour or so earlier this evening). However, I bet he'll come after me now :) This whole thing is straight out of something like 24, heh...
By the way, I'm going to try and do some research on this B4L user, including his edits, reasoning, and so on. Deckiller 03:21, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- I kinda figured it was Brazil4Linux after the vandal started redirecting and should great knowledge of Misplaced Pages. Who else from Brazil has a vendetta against you and me? First he attacked GoldDragon then me, you better watch out Doom127, you are next in line. Jedi6-(need help?) 20:03, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Talmud
I very appreciate your edit. Zadil 23:16, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate your comments. May I seek your advice regarding some reverts on that very talk page. I hope you don't mind. thanks Zadil 23:46, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Zadil 00:01, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

THanks for your nice comments! Jedi6-(need help?) 05:21, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

3RR
Hi Doom, this is just to warn you that if you revert again at Talk:Talmud, you'll be in violation of 3RR. Cheers, SlimVirgin 08:09, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- The above isn't a threat. It's a warning, in case you weren't familiar with 3RR, which you seem not to be, bceause violations are not content-dependent, except for simple vandalism, which this isn't, regardless of your personal views about it. See WP:3RR. As for the edits, I saw them as trolling, if not by design then certainly in effect. SlimVirgin 08:19, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- I advise you to read our policies for a definition of "simple vandalism," and also to note that IZAK did not simply blank the page, but archived it. Pages do have to be archived at some point, and it's a good idea to do it when that kind of repetitive conversation is ongoing. SlimVirgin 08:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Computer and video games
Please keep your tone civil on this page, and refrain from making accusations of other users. Remember, wikipedia policy dictates that we discuss content, not users. --InShaneee 02:11, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
Welcome back
Glad to see you back. I was going to mention that the user who kept on changing these notices edited brazilian pages, but I figured you would find out :) — Deckiller 03:08, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- I leave for two days and a bunch of things happen. I'm going to need this whole situation explained to me. Jedi6-(need help?) 04:26, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- Replied on your talk page. Cheers, Daniel Davis 04:40, 2 April 2006 (UTC).
Hey. I'm still a bit confused. I suspected Rick Browser was a sockpuppet of B4L for some time, but I didn't say anything because I thought that was already understood. My apologies if I didn't help the situation if I could have. But did you really consider leaving Misplaced Pages? As you can tell in your talk page history, I was, at first, under the impression that you were, and then, upon reflection, considered it a possible April Fool's prank. In either case, I'm glad to see you're back. Welcome back and cheers. :) -- Hinotori 22:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Hey (Jedi6's RfA)
Hey, just to let you know; I had to temporarily remove your support for Jedi6's RfA until he accepts/accepted. It should be fine once he posts "I accept". :) — Deckiller 23:17, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- I accepted so you can put your vote back. Jedi6-(need help?) 23:22, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- User:Phair just voted against my RfA. Could you look into this? Jedi6-(need help?) 03:23, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe you should try a check user. Jedi6-(need help?) 23:19, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- User:Phair just voted against my RfA. Could you look into this? Jedi6-(need help?) 03:23, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
I was basing the color off of the RfA tally table, as seen on my user page, but red make more sense. I have the feeling my RfA is going to flip flop around 75% for the entire RfA. And I still have 5 days to go Jedi6-(need help?) 05:34, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Harassment
Hi Daniel, thank you for understanding why I removed the sock template from the talk page. I have read the request for checkuser you have written and it seems to me that this goes much further than simply a socks issue. You have done the correct thing here, and I think that if this information is confirmed the arbitrators will probably move towards a permanent ban. I'm truly sorry for all the bad experiences and the invasion of privacy you have had to deal with. Take care, jacoplane 06:36, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- I've readded the sockpuppet template now that there seems to be some concrete evidence on the checkuser page. Also, regarding Jedi6's RFA, I wouldn't worry about that too much since by posting personal attacks like he did the bureaucrat that closes the RFA will certainly discount his vote. Anyway Jedi6 seems perfectly capable of defending himself! jacoplane 06:57, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- If you're still worried, you're better off taking this up with one of the bureaucrats in charge of RfA themselves, since there is little that I can do to help here anyway. jacoplane 07:03, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- I know about your checkuser on Rick, I'm awaiting the results. Jedi6-(need help?) 06:58, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have blocked Rick Browser indefinitely. jacoplane 07:46, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Neutral vote
Why did you vote neutral? It is up to the RfA candidates' closest supporters to not turn on him, regardless of the outcome of the RfA. If this is over the percentage thing.... — Deckiller 19:16, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- Okay. It's not his fault; he just wants to make sure that the RfA follows all correct policies. If he kept it on there, it may generate even more oppose votes. — Deckiller 19:21, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- No, not in that way. The burocrat may choose not to count some votes, and so on. I think you may want to make a post on Misplaced Pages talk:Requests for adminship just to see what the others think. — Deckiller 19:24, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- I understand you worked hard on that Doom127 but I foresaw the other users on the RfA complaining that the percentage isn't official until the bueacrat says so. While I think having the percentage on the page is a good idea it probably should be talked about on the talk page first. Otherwise the users who patrol that page will most likely just revert it. Jedi6-(need help?) 19:37, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Jedi6 RfA
I more worried about other users voting oppose in the next three days. :-( Jedi6-(need help?) 02:25, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- According to Misplaced Pages:Requests for CheckUser a checkuser can be done only if the possible sockpuppet's vote makes a difference in the vote. So if it makes a difference I'll request a checkuser. :-) Jedi6-(need help?) 02:27, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Excellent job on engineering Jedi6's RfA. While Jedi6's record speaks for itself, I salute you for overcoming several rough hurdles in order to ensure the process is fair. GoldDragon 05:53, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- "make sure that a pile of socks doesn't fall into the machine and clog the workings..." Is that a pun? It might make it into the wiki official sockpuppet policy.
- As an aside, I did want to apologize to Jedi6 because I once blanked him over an edit on the Xbox article without realizing it (you can see the blurb on my talk page). After his RfA, he might be too busy now to notice my message.GoldDragon 06:07, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
My RfA has been extended until the 12th due to the major power failure Misplaced Pages suffered. Jedi6-(need help?) 02:21, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delaying my RfA has actually increased my support votes, who would've thunk :-) Jedi6-(need help?) 06:27, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- I know you are having disagreements about the user's question but why are you opposing me? Jedi6-(need help?) 07:50, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
RfA edits
Please do not edit other contributor's comments anywhere on Misplaced Pages, but especially on RfA. It is inadvisable to edit other's spelling in general, but it is most certainly a mistake to do so when they make it clear they do not want thier comments altered. To do so against the wishes of the contributor is inappropriate and may be considered vandalism.
Please also note that the three revert rule applies to RfA just as any other page, and you may be subject to a block if you revert again. Essjay 07:41, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Time out
Seems that this has got a little out of hand and you are reacting quite strongly to something ultimately quite minor. I've enacted a short block to give you some time to cool off. If you want to protest that put the {{unblock}} tag on your talk page and another admin can review this. --pgk 08:05, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Block extended
Due to your sockpuppetry and general vandlism I have blocked you for 24 hours please see Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Doom127, The Eye, & Jean-Luc Picard. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 10:58, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Why?
Why did you do all that? Why did you act just like Brazil4Linux? Jedi6-(need help?) 21:30, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the complement
Much appreciate the complement. Its a really nice way to start off my userpage, along with Jedi6's recent addition. Your praise also makes me feel good in a time when I feel I'm losing it.
Regarding the recent 3R and blocking, an edit war really tests my nerves. Especially since its Canadian politics (i.e. Stephen Harper, Dalton McGuinty), I've come up against some really formidable adversaries such as CJCurrie and HistoryBA. That said, I am willing to learn some things outside my area of expertise and if you are too, that would legitimize our efforts to help each other out in order to prevent hitting the 3R limit.
