About Chris Griswold

My name is Chris Griswold, and I live in Pittsburgh, PA. I was born and grew up in Franklin, PA, attending first Central Elementary and then Franklin Area High School. Previously, I lived in New York City, where I worked at Jim Hanley's Universe and studied and performed improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.

Education

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English writing from the University of Pittsburgh, along with a film certificate and a minor in German. At Pitt, I was a squadleader in the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band; a sister of Tau Beta Sigma service sorority; and a member of Quo Vadis, the group that gives tours of the historic Cathedral of Learning. Additionally, I was active with The Pitt News, first I was a copy reader; then I wrote as a columnist, reporter, reviewer; and finally I held the positions of Opinions and then News editor.

Improvisational Theatre

It was at Pitt that I began my long association with Friday Nite Improvs, Pittsburgh's legendary cult improv show. I have served as the showcase host for many years now, and I also hold unofficial (not much is official with us) positions as producer and public relations dude. I also recently put together the Pittsburgh Improv Showcase, to create a community of improvisors in the city, along with a Web site to serve those groups as well as aid in the creation of enw groups and projects.

Lexi

In 2002, I met my fiancee Lexi at an improv show. We began to date, despite both us not wanting to do so. She and I were engaged December 28, 2004 in New York City. Lexi will graduate from Pitt this year, receiving both a BA and a BS, with majors in Psychology, Philosophy, and History and Philosophy of Science, and almost enough credits to be a Chemistry major. On top of all of this, she has taken many science courses in a few short terms in order to apply to study veterinary medicine.

Currently

I am currently applying for the NYC Teaching Fellows, so that I may return to New York and contribute my abilities to the New York City school system.

List of gay and bisexual people in comic fiction

Comicbook Facts I Nerd Police

Jason Todd died, but Superboy-Prime replaced his corpse with a Jason Todd who had never died, doing so on purpose. The Kents raised Matrix as a daughter and extended those feelings to Linda Danvers when she merged with their daughter as a single being. Doop thinks of himself as male and is bisexual. It's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, not The Dark Knight Returns. "The" is not always capitalized before "Riddler," "Joker," or "Penguin." Elvis Presley patterned his trademark jumpsuits after the costume of his favorite superhero: Captain Marvel, Jr. Kingdom Come and The Kingdom are set in different alternate timelines.
