Rosa Diamante (Diamond Rose), is an upcoming Spanish-language telenovela produced by United States-based television network Telemundo Studios, Miami, starring Carla Hernandez, Mauricio Ochmann and Lupita Ferrer. Telemundo will air the serial during 2012 season. As with most of its other telenovelas, the network will broadcast English subtitles as closed captions on CC3. It is a remake of Argentinian telenovela Perla Negra, written by Enrique Torres.

Synopsis

"Rose Diamond" tells the story of Rosa (Carla Hernandez), a beautiful young woman whom fate leads to grow up in a prestigious boarding school. Her life took an unexpected turn due to two events, the first, when she meets Jose Ignacio Altamirano (Mauricio Ochmann), who were to become his great forbidden love, and the second, a car accident when she was traveling with her best friend. This will define a new stage in the life of Rosa in which she will have to defend and oath, although this involves not only confront and struggle with those who will be converted into her enemies, but also fighting for her own feelings.
