Treasure hunt
The concept
Everyone is blind to their own mistakes. While there are things we do that we know are wrong, most of the time we're oblivious. Our friends can sometimes be counted on to provide feedback but this is a thankless exercise.
However, what if there were prizes?
- The rules
Here's where everything that I've ever done wrong will be collected. Sift through my contributions and anything that I've done wrong, paste it in the appropiate section. I'll look at what's been posted and replace, redact, strike though, or apologise as required. And the person who found it wins points!
Every so often, a winner (or three) will be chosen to receive not only a yet-to-be-designed something special for their user page but an actual physical object.
- Ratings and modifiers
Mild - 2 points, Medium - 4 points, Severe - 8 points
In WP space × 1.5, In article space × 2.0, In edit summary × 2.5
Improve this page - 4 points
Against you × 1.5
- Notes
- These can't be redacted and encourage others to edit war.
- This includes adding categories, changing point values, etc. If I like it, you get the points.
- Seems fair that you should get something if I slag you off.
- Potential (real world) prizes
Feel free to make requests and/or suggestion based upon previous rounds and your fevered imagination.
