The 2013 Indian Premier League season, abbreviated as IPL 6 or the IPL 2013, will be the sixth season of the Indian Premier League, established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007.The tournament will begin on April 3 and end May 26, 2013.
Kolkata Knight Riders are the defending champions.

IPL Committee has announced the dates of IPL 6. The tournament will begin on April 3, 2013 and the final match of IPL 2013 will be played on Sunday May 26, 2013.

According to Rajiv Shukla, the 6th edition may feature players from Pakistan. Also from 6th season the domestic players will be put into IPL auction.Gujarat Gauravhs are to be the new team in this IPL.
