I am going on break (again), so cannot help again, for the following reasons:
- You tell me what to do too much
- You need stubs to be perfect, if they are not perfect, you make me seem like a criminal with those ultra-harsh comments
- Misplaced Pages is killing my grades
- Half of you will be celebrating if I leave
- I'd rather spend this time playing games :).--Deathlaser (talk) 16:21, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Given that you are back from your short break, can I please direct your attention to this discussion? This is not meant to be badgering, but it would be nice if we could help you out; wikifying is common, although not always done properly, and there's no time like the present to learn new tricks. :) Cheers, Nolelover 03:17, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
Wikibreak reasons
Hey DL! I know that it is never a good feeling when you are told that what to do or that your work is not perfect with comments that "sound" harsh. But always look from perspective of the commenter also. Anyways, I was here to object the reason 4, obviously no one will be happy if you don't edit. Don't feel small, you are an asset to us :) →TSU 16:50, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

- Go away, I am not letting you persuade me into staying again!--Deathlaser (talk) 16:59, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if I've contributed to your feeling like you need to leave. You are certainly not a "criminal" (nor a vandal). Stubs are by nature not "perfect", but it is a problem if a bunch of errors are left for others to clean up. I did suggest having experienced editors look over your template before starting a batch. I will not be celebrating your leave-taking. Your other reasons are matters of personal priority, and it is, of course, up to you to decide how you need and want to spend your time. LadyofShalott 17:14, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
- I'm coming into this basically blind, having not taken part in the earlier discussion and having only seen some of the information. I don't think anyone would be happy at your leaving. However, I also note that it is a valid concern if one creates a large number of seriously flawed stubs. We have other editors who have created a huge number of articles, like User:Dr. Blofeld, who in some ways is one of our most highly regarded editors. He's made around 30,000 or so. I hope you reconsider your leaving, at least to the extent that the behavior of any other individuals here is involved, and, should you decide to become active again, maybe contact him for maybe some ideas on how to go about creating a large number of articles quickly. John Carter (talk) 23:33, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

- I think if you really stuck at it, you could learn to be a great editor. We certainly wouldn't celebrate the loss of an editor. But if you want to leave, that's your choice, and I would say your grades are far more important than anything here at Misplaced Pages - and games are assuredly more fun. Best of luck, and I hope to see you around sometime in the future. :) Bunnies! Leave a message 06:01, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
- OK!Now I will come clean. Over the past 1 month some-one kept emailing me from an annoymous--(large string of number)---@gmail.com account saying that they were an admin on Misplaced Pages and if I didn't comply with a list they made I would be blocked from editing and they will try to take legal action against me. In those e-mails they also included an screen shot of me asking some-thing in the reference desk which apparently "sounds a bit suspicious". Then the e-mail goes on for about five more paragraphs about exactly what it is I need to do!--Deathlaser (talk) 15:36, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

- I've left a note about this for someone with more experience in handling such things.
- While I'm here, I'll mention that the reference desks tend to be very heavily watched, so anything that's so tame as to still be visible to ordinary users after more than a month, is very very very unlikely to be something it would be practical for anyone to sue anyone over. And secondly, the vast majority of internet legal threats turn out to be just hot air. (I've received dozens of legal threats, but I've never received any legal paperwork as a result.) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 16:00, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

- Yes, I saw that. To answer your question, a self-identified minor is someone who comments on-wiki indicating that they are a minor.
- Here's some more advice. If something is "secret", or you don't want it to be told to anyone, then don't post it on Misplaced Pages - on your talk page or anywhere else. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 16:36, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Suggestion. Make a new email address. Delete your old email address. Turn off your "Email this user" function. Don't give out any information about yourself on-wiki. Now no-one can email you threats of any sort, and they can't sue you either because they don't know who you are. (And no, they haven't magically hacked you or identified you using stolen checkuser powers or anything else - think about it, if they already had checkuser powers then they wouldn't be messing around trying to get autopatrolled.) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 23:49, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yesterday I had a major flame war with him on FB, some of his remarks were just too horrible to quote.--Deathlaser (talk) 17:10, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Deathlaser. First you need to calm down. Secondly, those emails sounds like phishing, nobody can order you around to write X number of articles. Thirdly, anyone who makes legal threats, even admins, get blocked because no editor is supposed to do that, not here, not anywhere else. Forthly, if you have received this email via "E-mail this user" feature (the ending of the email will look like it was sent from some other user), forward it to Arbcom so that it can be investigated. - Mailer Diablo 20:38, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yawn, the "Email this user" function was not used as no usernames can be seen, anyway how is it phishing?--Deathlaser (talk) 20:51, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Don't you find the email strange when you said that the email address contained only a large string of numbers and the so-called admin doesn't identify himself/herself in the email? - Mailer Diablo 20:57, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Well, if he did tell me, I would have told you all his User name and he could've been indefed. If he wasn't an admin-why would he tell me to vote in an upcoming RfB.--Deathlaser (talk) 21:01, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, now we see what is going on. Someone is trying to use you as a meat puppet to vote. That's a big NO-NO for any so-called admin to do that. This is all the more reason you should forward those emails to Arbcom so that we can find out who is the culprit behind it. - Mailer Diablo 21:10, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

- Those legal threats are groundless. I have dealt with legal documents before. They will provide their full name and address that is clearly identified and have very specific wording or language. What you should do is to relax and not worry any more about them. Admins know better that legal threats result in instant block. If the originator has identified themselves on FB or in the email, you should forward it to Arbcom for them to investigate. - Mailer Diablo 21:10, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
