Yeovil

HE KNOWS PLAY FOR YEOVIL —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.37.190.133 (talkcontribs) 17:56, November 29, 2005

Deerhof

This page is linked to Deerhoof, which is incorrect. Chris Cohen, formerly of Deerhoof, is working on his project The Curtains. He was born in the 70s and is probably the hottest dude I've ever seen in my whole life. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.38.220.54 (talkcontribs) 19:56, July 23, 2006

GA failed

There are a few things that could be improved in this article.

  • Firstly, it can be expanded to be more comprehensive. Although the subject is relatively obscure because he plays in second flight football, there is more info out there that can be easily gotten by trawling through BBC. A BBC search indicates that this article could probably be expanded about 50-70% without too much trouble and the resulting pages
  • Info about his early years are not covered well. There is a lot more to be gleemed from the interview that is in source no 1. Also, there is not really anything about playing style. We are not told if he is left or right footed, and we do not know his strengths and weaknesses. We do not even know which exact position he is. Central midfield? L/R wing? forward-midfielder or anything?
  • Info about transfer speculation is on the BBC. Needs to be included
  • The lead needs serious expanding
  • Refs:The interview is used multiple times. Invoke <ref name="sdfsfdsd"/> to use repeated refs instead of listing the interview again multiple times. Ref details also need to be filled out properly where applicable. In this case it was not being filledout in full on some occasions
  • Refs from his club are not preferred, since they are not independent. That means the Notts website.
  • Some POv statements "terrific form" and "brilliant display"
  • The prose is ok but could do with improvement: "the youngest player to ever appear for the West Ham first team for 80 years" -> "Ever" should not be there since there is a condition on his record and it is not absolute. Also, "he won two Player of the Year Awards of Yeovil Town" should be "from" not "of. There are a few sentences like that which could be improved.

GA review

Everything seems OK, my only suggestion:

  • change "terrific form" for something less...weasely.

Career statistics table

The career statistics table in this revision is of the correct format. This also applies to tables at Lewis McGugan and Jamaal Lascelles. As I have tried explaining in my edit summaries, Joshuaforest (talk · contribs)'s version violates WP:FONTSIZE by using unnecessarily small text size and violates WP:COLOUR through the use of arbitrary colours. As Joshuaforest has violated WP:3RR by making four reverts in the space of 24 hours, this is likely to be taken to the Edit warring noticeboard. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 16:26, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
