Lepo Sumera (May 8 1950 - June 2 2000) was an Estonian composer. He started his studies under Veljo Tormis. From 1968 to 1970 Sumera studied under Heino Eller. Sumera became professor of composition in 1993. He died of heart failure in 2000. Sumera's works include six symphonies of which the first was composed in 1981 and the last one in 2000.
