The fourth generation iPad is a tablet computer designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc. It was announced on October 23, 2012 and will start shipping on November 2, 2012. The forth-generation iPad adds a new Apple A6X chip as well as the Lightning connector introduced with the iPhone 5.
