Elena Semikina (born 1982, 30 years old) is the first trans-gendered Miss Universe Canada. She is a Canadian low-budget actress and amateur glamour model. She was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2010 in Toronto, Ontario, on June 14, 2010. She represented Canada at the Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. on August 23, 2010.
As of 2012 Semikina is enrolled in the part-time adult continuing education program at York University where she studies marketing and finance. She is the oldest student enrolled in the undergraduate program at York University. In addition to her school workload, she is enrolled in oratory and neuro-linguistic programming to complete her transition as female.
Elena was cast in her first movie role alongside Gil Bellows, Don McKellar, and Kathleen Robertson in the film “Three Days in Havana" As of June 2012 in post-production. She also appeared in the low-budget film Gitaskog, As of June 2012 in post-production.
