Pan
I reverted your disambig entry to sliced bread again, as that article has nothing about pan. Even the item to bread is marginal, per the guidelines of WP:MOSDAB, as it barely mentions pan, but I've left that one for now. Dicklyon (talk) 17:23, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- There's a paragraph about sliced pan in sliced bread now. Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 18:27, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- That's better than nothing; and better than edit warring, which we've both now been warned about. Dicklyon (talk) 20:39, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
December 2009
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pan. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Ucucha 18:30, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Ho'oponopono. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - Yes, sorry, you did. You wrote, "rm unnecessary map." What I was looking for was why you felt it was unnecessary. My feeling is the map lets people know where Oceania is. Some people don't know. One can zoom in on the map and find the various island groups referred to in the text. Many people don't know here those islands are. Makana Chai (talk) 00:56, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- It was because the article is about one aspect of Hawaiian/Polynesian religion/culture; it has nothing to do with the geography of Oceania. If people want information on that all they have to do is click a link, as is normal in Misplaced Pages. And the picture's caption was full of needless technical information about how to view it. It struck me as an example of stuffing material into an article without much regard as to its relevance. However, I don't have a particular interest in that article; I'll leave it in the hands of those who do. Good luck with it. Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 09:55, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:NewFiatMultipla.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:NewFiatMultipla.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. , and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Misplaced Pages under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Misplaced Pages:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:39, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Science-ie.png
Thanks for uploading File:Science-ie.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. False positives for intentional disambig links.
Please avoid creating false positives to disambig links as you did here when you created a ] link. Galaxy Note
Steve Jobs died before the Samsung Galaxy Note was introduced, so his quotation about hating styluses doesn't refer to the Galaxy Note. It also isn't necessary to include an entire history of the stylus in the article on a single product. Please stay on topic. White 720 (talk) 16:35, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for talking about this. The stylus is one of the major talking-points among reviewers of the Galaxy Note, mainly as a result of its recent fall from use and Jobs's outspoken views. It's only natural that that context would be mentioned here. It is certainly not a full history of styluses, just enough to establish the context. However I don't see how your addition "despite the negative review from Steve Jobs of Apple, the Galaxy Note stylus implementation ..." makes sense, since, as you point out, Jobs was not alive to review it. September 2012
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pi de les Tres Branques. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Widefox; talk 16:07, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- That is an unwarranted personal attack. You have been engaging in confrontational editing, with your hostile edit summary and now this ridiculous message. You have failed to point to any WP policy saying a video like the one linked must not be referenced; however I have no trouble with dropping it as I have provided more reliable sources (which you also removed, but later restored). You have also removed other citations with no explanation. Please restore them, and be WP:CIVIL in the future. Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 17:23, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- You're kidding, right. Did you read the guideline WP:RS I pointed to here and here? "However, audio, video, and multimedia materials that have been recorded then broadcast, distributed, or archived by a reputable third party may also meet the necessary criteria to be considered reliable sources. Like text sources, media sources must be produced by a reliable third party and be properly cited. Additionally, an archived copy of the media must exist." Is the video you linked to even free from copyright issues, and other (WP:Video links) issues? Widefox; talk 18:25, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

- Hi, now you've restored it, I can see which ref you were referring to. Yes, I agree I removed that by mistake with this undo - removing the festes ref in two places. I'd misread the youtube ref as being named festes, I would have restored them if I'd noticed or you'd said which, hope that clears that up? Widefox; talk 13:56, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Interpretation of WP:MOSTM
I've seen that you moved a lot of Xperia-related articles per WP:MOSTM, i.e. Sony Xperia Go. The official name uses the lowercase "g" letter. WP:MOSTM recommends to "Capitalize trademarks, as with proper names" and talks about capitalization of "trademarks that begin with a lowercase letter", however "Xperia go" does already begin with an uppercase letter ("Xperia") and WP:MOSTM doesn't say anything about capitalization of trademarks with composite names, so I think we should keep the official name. ekerazha (talk) 06:57, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
