Misplaced Pages

This user would like to keep his information from showing up in a simple Google search of his e-mail address, even though he has recently become an active Wikipedian again in order to remain active in a desk job with a lot of down-time and whose job-description involves "teaching Iwate and Japan about the world and the world about Japan and Iwate"; also, the information that WAS on this page was extremely out of date.

My activities since August 2012 have been largely on the subject of Japanese literature, since it is my primary area of expertise. I am also up for any translation of Japanese sources (in a broader range of topics), and translation of Japanese Misplaced Pages articles. One article I translated that I am particularly proud of is Flag of Iwate Prefecture; at the moment, the only prefectural flag of Japan to have its own English-language Misplaced Pages article is that of my host-prefecture of Iwate. (Insignias of Tokyo also exists, of course, but still... :P )

The above is a waka composed to commemorate the passing of autumn in my beloved host-city of Morioka. It is here to represent my two main Misplaced Pages editing projects: Japanese literature and Iwate-related articles.

However, as of December 4, 2012, I have agreed to a self-imposed topic ban on editing any Misplaced Pages content related to poetry. This ban was agreed to with this edit. It is not a ban that was imposed on me by an administrator or by community consensus. It is a measure that I have taken in order to demonstrate that my regular disagreements with a certain other user were not my fault, and that I am here to improve Misplaced Pages as much as anyone else. That user was requested to take a similar "ban" in order to demonstrate the same (I had taken him to WP:ANI because it really didn't seem that way to me and most of the other users who interacted with him). I do intend to go on reading Misplaced Pages articles on poetry, however; if, in the course of my reading, I briefly forget that I am under a self-imposed ban and make a minor edit, please inform me on my talk page. I kindly ask that you do not post on the talk page of the article (where my self-imposed ban prevents me from replying) that I have violated a ban that has been imposed upon me for being disruptive. Since this clearly is not the case, I reserve the right to take such postings as personal attacks.
