Pangaltı (spelled Pancaldi by Italian writers of XIXth C.) was a sub-district of Şişli, Istanbul, inhabited mainly by Levantine Christians in the XIX Century. The enclave is home to the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and the Saint James Armenian Hospital. It is also home to the Pangaltı Catholic Cemetery, the largest Catholic cemetery in Istanbul.
