Virgil van Dijk (born 8 July 1991, Breda) is a Dutch football (soccer) player who plays as a Defender. He currently plays for FC Groningen in the Eredivisie.

Virgil van dijk has been linked with a move away. The likes of Everton are monitoring the 6ft 4 defender. Brighton and Hove Albion are thought to have bid £2 million to bring the defender to Sussex.
