Christopher Francis 'Chris' Stark (born 12 March 1987) is a British radio personality, best known for his work as a contributor on the Scott Mills show on BBC Radio 1.
Radio career
Chris started working in hospital radio at the age of 16, and gained experience working at stations including Galaxy, Real Radio, Virgin Radio and BBC 6 Music. At 18 Chris started at Southampton University where he was given his own show on the student radio station Surge. It was here that he started to become known for the stunts that would later become daily features on Radio 1.
He became a permanent member of the Scott Mills show team on 2 April 2012, but occasionally appeared on the show as 'Scott's friend Chris' for a long period of time prior to this. He is known on the show for his feature 24 Years at the Tap End, where he reads extracts from his "autobography." The title of the feature references his finding that he had spent the first 24 years of his life sitting at the wrong end of the bath.
Other works
Chris is also an accomplished club DJ, something he has done from the age of 15. It was during his time as a resident DJ at Southampton University that he met Scott Mills, their friendship leading Scott to involve Chris more and more in his radio show.
