Ella Yelich-O'Connor, known by her stage name Lorde, is a 16 year old New Zealand singer-songwriter. She released her first EP, The Love Club, in December 2012 which reached #1 on the NZ charts and #39 on the Australian charts. It's been released as a physical copy on May 17. In 2013, her single Royals debuted at #1 on New Zealands RIANZ singles charts for 3 weeks and featured on the Australian charts. Her latest single is The Love Club from the EP of the same name.
Personal life
Lorde was born in Auckland, New Zealand. She is currently in Year 12, attending Takapuna Grammar School on Auckland's North Shore.
Career
Love Club EP
Released in 2012, featuring five songs including the number one hit "Royals." On the 27th May 2013, the song, "Royals", was covered on national television on The X Factor (New Zealand) by all girl group 'Gap 5', mentored by Melanie Blatt. Lorde refuses to answer questions from Mediaworks soshmedguru about what she thought of Gap 5's performance.
Lorde is currently being courted by the Illuminati after former NZ recording artist now Cool Charm Spokeswoman Zowie's failed attempt at joining.
