Inadequate lead tag for Salem, New Jersey

Hi Richard.

I don't think moving the Atlantic material to a new section is appropriate, but perhaps the material from The Atlantic can be phrased more neutrally. Try working from that piece and softening the phrasing, where appropriate. I'm actually pleased to see the mainstream media covering the matter of segregation academies, the continuing existence of which was shocking to me... Keep me posted if there is conflict over the content there. best, —Tim /// Carrite (talk) 02:52, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for Richmond, Utah

Thanks for your quality work on Richmond, Utah. I wish more people did this kind of thing on Misplaced Pages. Ntsimp (talk) 14:42, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

NARA photo shows a celebration on the capitol steps in 1973 for the 100th anniversary of West Virginia statehood. West Virginia became a state in 1863 and celebrated 100 years in 1963, NOT 1973. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.121.132.78 (talk) 03:08, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

  • Yes, the date is 10 years off. It must be an NARA error. That's why I called it a celebration. You seem pretty determined to put your picture on that page. Maybe they can both fit. Let's let an editor make the call. Richard Apple (talk) 03:41, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

My picture does not need to be placed here. Just trying to keep the facts straight and show more up to date pictures. We (West Virginians) have always had to try to coup with mountains of misinformation and stereotypes such that whenever there is misinformation presented we, maybe too quickly, jump on it to straighten it out, such as the picture, as stated before, was not a 100 year anniversary in 1973. It looks more like the multicultural fest started in the late 70's early 80's. U.S. government sources are the worst offenders when it comes to misinformation about W. Va. ???????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.121.132.78 (talk) 15:45, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
