Hello, my name is Mike Garcia (you can call me Michael if you like) and welcome to my world! I changed my old username Michael to this account. I am 22-years old and was born on June 21, 1983 and I used to live in Westchester (part of Los Angeles, California) and now moved back to Redondo Beach (where I lived for such a long time) since August 10, 2005. I am also a Mexican-American born.

For any contact my e-mail is: mike_garcia222003@yahoo.com

As of March 2006, I am now active again. Between December 2005 and February 2006, I have been on break for a while since I've gotten tired of editing. But this time, I am now back and won't leave Misplaced Pages again.

About Me

Yeah, that's me!

I was born in Los Angeles, California in Redondo Beach on June 21, 1983 as Michael David Garcia (my full name) and I have a brother named Joseph (better known as Joe or Joey, born in 1985). On my school careers when I grew up, I was at Orville Wright Middle School from 1994 to 1997 and attended Westchester High School as of the same year I graduated, then Loyola Marymount University since 2001 and graduated in June 2005. I discovered this website in fall 2002 and registered in March 2003. I've been banned since mid-2003 and now i'm not anymore as of August 2004. I just wanna say that being banned was the worst thing that ever happened to me. I just didn't know a lot about Misplaced Pages during the past time before I created this account. My recent work for Misplaced Pages as of 2005 is music related stuff (band, albums, etc.) and I listen to KROQ sometimes (just like AlexTheMartian, he lives in my city too, but we're not neighbors though).

NOTE: I am NOT actually related to the stoner rock icon John Garcia from a band called Kyuss and 60s rock icon Jerry Garcia from The Grateful Dead.

'Michael' unbanned

As an experiment, I am going to unban Michael and place him under the mentorship of Danny and Guanaco, who will watch after him. He will edit only under his new Mike Garcia account, and promises to make only good edits.

I ask all other sysops and users to give him a try, and try to welcome him into the community. I would like to ask those who have been directly involved with dealing with his constant problem edits to please just steer clear of him for awhile, and let Danny and Guanaco or others try to mediate and deal with him.

Essentially, banning hasn't worked very well, because he's a persistent problem. Blocking him has been problematic because he comes in on an AOL proxy, which blocks lots of other people.

This is a unique situation, and it warrants a unique experiment, and we have people (Danny in particular) who have taken the lead in volunteering to try something new.

I award you the barnstar of diligence for your recent work in WikiProject Albums and for the great improvement you have made to the accuracy of your additions. Guanaco 18:11, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
