Kandil is one of the five Islamic holy nights when the minarets are illuminated and special prayers are made: Mevlit, Regaip, Miraç, Berat, Kadir. During the Kandils, this savory ring shaped biscuit is distributed to neighbors and other relatives for Allah’s sake.
