Scope
Psychology of Women Quarterly (PWQ) is a feminist, scientific, peer-reviewed journal that publishes empirical research, critical reviews and theoretical articles that advance a field of inquiry, brief reports on timely topics, teaching briefs, and invited book reviews related to the psychology of women and gender.
For Readers
PWQ, first printed in 1976, is published by Sage and is the official journal of the Society for the Psychology of Women (SPW; Division 35 of the American Psychological Association). A full subscription to PWQ is a benefit of membership in SPW, which does not require membership in APA.
PWQ ranks 34th among psychology's 126 multidisciplinary journals and 2nd among women's studies' 38 journals with an impact factor of 1.818. PWQ receives over 200 submissions each year, maintains a 75-85% rejection rate, and averages about 60 days until a first decision is rendered.
