I am also a published author (both history and fiction). Interests: History (especially Irish history). politics, religion, globalisation, gay rights, the Australian constitution, Anglo-Irish Relations. I also work as a current affairs commentator for a number of publications and have worked as an advisor to senior Irish politicians.
