The Sunflower Galaxy (also known as Spiral Galaxy M63, Messier Object 63, Messier 63, M63, or NGC 5055) is a spiral galaxy in the Canes Venatici constellation. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1779. The Sunflower Galaxy apparently forms a physical group with the Whirlpool Galaxy and several smaller galaxies; the M51 group.
