Galloway calls itself a "community of learners" who are dedicated to life long learning. The overall principle of the Galloway School is "behave yourself and try."
Galloway includes 3 sub-schools, "Early Learning" which encompasses students from age 3 to approximately age 10, "Middle Learning" which includes 10-14 year olds, and "Upper Learning" which is effectively a high school. According to the school's website, total enrollment is 730 students with a full-time-faculty to student ratio of 1:10.
Famous alumni include Martin Luther King III.
