It is a shame that the webpage about Bias in South Asian Studies was removed from Misplaced Pages . The denial of bias, eliminating it by ignoring it, will not make it go away. This short sighted approach that does not give voice to alternative perspectives is not in the tradition of Misplaced Pages. Why was this page removed? It was very informative and gave voice to alternative perspectives--practicing Hindus-- who do not hold the reigns of power or determine the historical narratives about Hinduism but they sure have noticed the bias. The previous page had these links:

   * 1 Indology and Eurocentrism or Colonialism
         o 1.1 Indology and Nazism
   * 2 Aryan Invasion Theory (AIT)
   * 3 Bias in South Asian Studies in South Asia
   * 4 Bias in South Asian Studies in the United States
         o 4.1 Wendy Doniger
         o 4.2 Michael Witzel
   * 5 Bias on the Internet
   * 6 Stereotypes
         o 6.1 Hindutva

I watched and read the editorial comments about why the page was removed, but I disagreed. How can we restart the discussion to restore this page. I am not experienced with editing on Misplaced Pages, but I am willing to learn.

Other sites that point out bias and racism would not so easily be eliminated just because those who are biased and racist want to ellide the discussion.
