Channel 9 is a Malaysian defuct private commercial free-to-air terrestrial television station was officially launched it started began national television broadcasting on Monday, 8 September 2003 at 12:00 MST was operated by Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad a member of Media Prima & officially closed it dissolved stop national television broadcasting on Thursday, 3 February 2005 at 00:00 MST a member of Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad & subsidiary of New Straits Times Press & the television programmes is similar to that of TV3, NTV7 & 8TV by the station works on an appointment-based programming concept reflecting its philosophy of being Malaysialah!.

Channel 9 is a sister channel of TV3, NTV7 & 8TV with currently shares facilities with Media Prima at its headquarters at Shah Alam (state capital of Selangor Darul Ehsan).

Channel 9 currently transmission via UHF (Ultra High Frequency) was 6-transmitted stations in Peninsular Malaysia such: Kuala Lumpur (Channel 33), Johor Bahru (Channel 44), Shah Alam (Channel 42), George Town (Channel 48), Mallaca (Channel 37) & Genting Highlands (Channel 6) while of available over the Astro a digital satellite-based direct broadcast satellite platform on Channel 109.

The channel targets Malay & Indonesian-speaking viewers; English, Chinese, Teochew, Cantonese, Taiwanese language, Japanese & Tamil are also shown in this channel as well.

Channel 9 is a 12-hour transmission broadcasting in daily from 12:00 until 00:00 MST in daily.

Channel 9 it was officially launched on Monday, 8 September 2003 at 12:00 MST with the clock ident, national anthem of the Malaysia: "Negaraku", station ident & first programmes by the 6-major cities in Peninsular Malaysia such: Kuala Lumpur (UHF 33), Johor Bahru (UHF 44), Shah Alam (UHF 42), George Town (UHF 48), Malacca Town (UHF 37) & Genting Highlands (UHF 6) with television transmitter of tower at Menara TV3 form complex of Bukit Sungai Besi raised as high at 20-kilowatt form obtaned form television antenna by 200-metre on 567.250-megahertz as video frequency & 574.750-megahertz as audio frequency with television programmes similar to that of TV3 was line-up consisted of television programmes in English, Chinese, Teochew, Cantonese, Taiwanese language, Japanese & Tamil programmes featuring by home family variety & light entertainment channel. It also featured of infomercial, home shopping & shopping channel by the TV Innovations is a television commercial programmes.

In the early stages form was broadcasting hours are from 12:00 until 00:00 MST in daily was runtime broadcasts a 12-hours & closing ceremony of transmission ends are final broadcasts at 00:00 MST in daily.

Channel 9 had finally ceased broadcasting after 2-years was broadcast at the end at 00:00 MST with beep as the test card.
