Cristina "Cris" Patwa is the Co-CEO of FactoryMade Ventures, an entertainment and media business incubator founded in 2011; JJ Abrams was an early investor in the company.

Career

Patwa co-founded El Rey Network and Tres Pistoleros Studios with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez and former WME board member and agent John Fogelman. In February 2012, El Rey closed a national deal with Comcast for distribution, and in May 2013, El Rey announced an investment from Univision. In 2013, Patwa was featured as a Showbiz Strategist in Variety's Dealmakers Impact Report.

Patwa is an Executive Producer on scripted television shows "From Dusk Till Dawn" the series, a remake of the classic film by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, and "Matador," a Latino James Bond series with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. She is working on producing 6 scripted series for the El Rey Network. Patwa is also an Executive Producer on an untitled reality television series with Vice Media as well as Scott Gurney and Deirdre Gurney, the creators of "Duck Dynasty" and "Auction Hunters."

Also at FactoryMade, Patwa started a joint venture with Mexican wrestling league Lucha Libre AAA, and in January 2014, the JV announced a partnership with Mark Burnett and his production company with Hearst Corporation, One Three Media, to produce multiple television shows around the league, including a weekly series on the El Rey Network.

Prior to FactoryMade, Patwa was formerly WME's Head of Strategic Planning and before that was a director of business development at Disney/ABC Television Group. She served as an advisor to Hasbro (developed Transformers and GI Joe franchises as well as Hasbro Studios and the Hub Network with Discovery Communications), HSN (created HSN Arcade), Telefonica and JCPenney.
