Map of the disputed Kashmir region, showing the Working boundary between Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.

The Working boundary between two countries is different to that of the Wagah Border , this is called as the International border. However, the situation between Pakistan and India is some how different. Between Pakistan and India lies the Disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir which as per the UN resolution is not an integral part of any country untill the people of Kashmir decide through vote to which country they want to amalgamate. Now Kashmir is politically divided into two parts and the border dividing Kashmir into Indian-held Kashmir and Pakistan-administered Kashmir is actually a ceasefire line called the Line of Control which means both sides is undecided Kashmir. On the other side where the De-facto of the Jammu region touches Pakistani province of Punjab border is called the Working boundry that is also considered part of the ceasefire line which means one side is Pakistan and other side is Indian held Kashmir. However Islamabad does not recognise this and has objected to the construction of the barrier, saying it violates both bilateral accords and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions on the region.
