  • Expand the Definitions section. This should include an attempt a broad survey of progressive ideas, being careful to point out that not all people who call themselves "progressive" believe all or any of these things, and not to advocate for or against the beliefs listed, either explicitly or implicitly.
  • Expand the History section. Write about the history of the direct historical antecedents of the contemporary progressive movement(s), possibly adding material to referenced articles.
  • Identify all historical and contemporary movements or causes calling themselves "progressive".
  • Write a history of each movement or cause self-identified as "progressive", possibly adding material to referenced articles.
  • Expand non-US sections so the article does not appear US-centric, to the degree possible.
  • After the explanation of contemporary progressive beliefs is complete or underway, write a history of ideologically aligned movements and causes, including those not necessarily calling themselves "progressive". Possibly add material to referenced articles.
  • Expand Progressivism versus Liberalism section.
  • Expand Progressivism versus Socialism section.
  • Expand List of progressive advocates section.
  • Expand List of progressive groups section.
