Holocaust literally means "completely consumed by fire, originally applied to burnt sacrifices". The term can refer to:

• The Holocaust, a genocide perpetrated by the Nazis
• Armenian Holocaust, the Ottoman government's systematic extermination of its minority Armenian subjects during and after World War I
• Ukrainian Holocaust or Holodomor, a man-made famine in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1932 and 1933 that killed up to 7.5 million Ukrainians
