Members of the 16 Lok Sabha were elected during the 2014 Indian general election. The elections were conducted in 9 phases from 7 April 2014 to 12 May 2014 by the Election Commission of India. The results of the election were declared on 16 May 2014. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was the most significant development in the 2014 Lok Sabha contest. Even though the party could not make a decisive win, its presence has made a major impact in the future of Indian Politics.
