To Be With The Truthful is one of the four books by well known Sunni turned Shi'a scholar Muhammad al-Tijani.

Etymology

The name of the book is derived from a Quranic verse: "Oh you who believe, fear Allah and be with the Truthful" (Surat Al-Tawba, Ayah 119)

Content

Among the content can be found a part regarding when the Qur'anic verse was revealed: during the Farewell Pilgrimage on Mount Arafat, as regarded authentic in Sahih Bukhari, or later. It also asks why Muslims do not celebrate that day as their greates festivity .

It then continues to talk about the event of Ghadir Khumm, the numbers of people present and the following events, such as The meeting at Saqifah

Sunni view

Salafi Sunnis have a very dim view of the authour, and quote from this book when arguing their case

Shi'a view

Shi'a view this book just the other three books of the authour, as a very good reference for Shi'a-Sunni argumentation.
