Monica Cafferky is a British freelance journalist, who has written for publications including the Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, The Sun, Daily Express, The Guardian, News of the World, Star on Sunday, The Scotsman, Woman's Own, Woman, Chat, Red, Company and numerous other national newspapers and magazines.

Her blog is hosted by The Huffington Post.

She is also the co-author of three self-help books, which are published by Little Brown, one of which The Future Is Yours is an international best seller. All three books have been translated into several languages including: Japanese, Norwegian, Czech, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Slovak and Estonian.

Monica has just completed her first novel The Dark Escape. Her literary agent is Robert Kirby at United Agents.

In 1996, she won a scholarship from the Reuters Foundation (now Thomson Reuters Foundation) to attend a training course at Green College, Oxford, with Reuters. She was the only British journalist selected for this award, which was open to all media worldwide. The previous year she won a BBC News & Current Affairs sponsored award from the Radio Academy.

Monica lives in Yorkshire with her fiancé and her dog, Tilly, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
