Aalvar (2006) is a forthcoming Tamil project directed by Vishnu Vardhan. The title is currently unknown. The film stars Ajith and Asin in the lead roles. This will be the third project that the couple will be in after the dropped Mirattal and the blockbuster God Father.

- Ajith, who dropped out of Bala's Naan Kadavul chose Vishnu Vardhan, who was in the midst of preparing the script for a movie with Bala with Surya in the lead, as the director of this film.
