The White Aryan Resistance is a white supremacist organization founded and led by former Ku Klux Klan leader Tom Metzger. It is based in California, USA. The group was originally known as the White American Political Association or WAPA, but was changed briefly to the White American Resistance, and later American was changed to Aryan. They hold views which are self-described to be "racist" as seen in their section called Racist Jokes and Racist Videos.

WAR has general policies on what its members should do. WAR promotes the strategy of "leaderless resistance", reinforcing the importance of the individual in the advancement of the White race. Another WAR policy is "don't talk". WAR has had its organization infiltrated in the past by undercover police, so they do not want members discussing the organizations views. WAR calls its members "Lone Wolves" because their views are oppositional to mainstream society. The WAR does extensive prison organizing and, unlike the KKK, does not claim to be a Christian organization, condemning Christianity as a form of Judaism.

The WAR organization has had financial troubles. The group was effectively bankrupted as the result of a civil lawsuit resulting from WAR's involvement in the death of Mulugeta Seraw, an Ethiopian man who came to the United States to attend college. In 1988, Seraw was murdered by skinheads, who were convicted of the crime and sent to prison. Morris Dees and the Southern Poverty Law Center filed a civil suit against Metzger, arguing that WAR influenced Seraw's murderers by encouraging the group, the "East Side White Pride" to commit violence. The jury returned the largest civil verdict in Oregon history at the time — $12.5 million against Metzger and WAR.

WAR's Positions

Race

It is a dark and dismal time in the history of our race. An evil shadow has fallen across our once fair land. A certain vile, alien people have taken control of our country. When the day comes, we will not ask whether you swung to the right or whether you swung to the left, we will simply swing you by your neck.

Whites i.e. non-Jewish (Europeans)

WAR's definition of which groups are part of the White race is smaller than other definitions of Whites. WAR claims only Europeans and people of European descent are Whites. It calls these people the Aryan race. The racial trait that WAR claims is common to Europeans is that they are "white-skinned people" (Unparalled Invasion, paragraph 11). WAR claims Middle Easterns and North Africans are not Whites. WAR claims Jews are descended from a common Middle Eastern origin, so they are not Whites either.

Asians

Japanese and Chinese have a completely separate and unintelligeable thought process compared to Whites. China rose to power in the 1970s due to their work ethic. This rise to power was coupled with an increased population. WAR claims Whites should be afraid of Chinese because their population outnumbers the total White population. China's population was eventually decresed by disease. Based on WAR's section called "Cartoons", WAR implies Asian people are sneaky, deceptive, and have ugly women. The same section also claims Asian Americans will not assimilate into the United States culture.

Blacks

WAR claims Blacks are inferior in mental capacity to Whites. WAR claims the only smart African Americans have White ancestors. WAR claims in its article called "RACISM-BY-DENIAL RACISTS and GENE PIRACY", that smart African Americans deny their White ancestry to give the appearance that some smart Blacks exist. In the same article, WAR states it is against "black men access to white teen-age girls and white women". WAR claims the following situation would never happen: "Africans evolve a Japanese culture (even given identical environmental conditions) because of their genetic differences.", illustrating WAR's belief in biological determinism. WAR claims Black integration has lead to "broken families, abandoned children, dumbed-down and dangerous schools, kids killing kids, ubiquitous pornography, deadly STDs, and our unprotected borders and communities." (RACISM-BY-DENIAL RACISTS and GENE PIRACY, paragraph 13) In WAR's section called "Cartoons", WAR implies all blacks should die, blacks are unintelligent, blacks commit a disproportionate number of crimes, black culture is inferior, black fathers do not financially support their children, blacks should not have interracial relationships with White women.

Indigenous People of the Americas

WAR has a variety of racist beliefs about Indigenous peoples of the United States. Based on WAR's section called "Racist Jokes", WAR implies Indigenous peoples of the United States are drunks, WAR claims mixed raced inviduals who are in part White deny their White ancestry. WAR claims that "white-appearing "Indians" travel about the country giving lectures on Indian culture and tout their Indian pride and heritage, exhibiting no discernible Indian heritage except their braided -- sometimes black-dyed -- hair and their Indian jewelry."(RACISM-BY-DENIAL RACISTS and GENE PIRACY)

Additionally, WAR claims Mexicans are Indigenous peoples of the Americas in its section called "Racist Jokes". WAR claims Mexicans who are not mono-racial Whites are mentally inferior. WAR claims "One can't lower the average heritable potential for intelligence in a civilization and expect that civilization to prosper."(RACISM-BY-DENIAL RACISTS and GENE PIRACY, paragraph 15) In WAR's section called "Cartoons", WAR implies indigenous and mestizo Mexicans have too many children, smell, have a disproportionate number of criminals, have ugly women, are a financial drain on the United States, will become the majority population of the United States of America. WAR lets visitors play a game called "Border Patrol" where they kill Mexican immigrants coming across the US-Mexico border. (Racist Games)

Middle Easterns

WAR has a variety of racist beliefs about Middle Easterns. Based on WAR's section called "Racist Jokes", WAR believes Middle Easterns have ugly noses, have an inferior religion to Christianity (Islam), have poor hygiene, and are cowards. Based on the same section, WAR uses the broader definition of Middle East. WAR's definition of Middle East includes the region also known as Southwest Asia, including Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Jewish People

WAR believes Jews disproportionately control the businesses, resulting in their racial power and the liberal bias which is detrimental to the advancement of the Aryan/European race. According the section called "Racist Jokes", Jews have contributed to communism, catholicism and the news media. The same section states they control the legal, medical, psychiatric, and accounting professions. The section implies they should all die by its Nazi concentration camp jokes.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual

WAR feels that LGBs are a small threat to the advancement of the Aryan/European race. WAR acknowledges that these types of people have always existed and by their choice to not reproduce pose little threat. Based on WAR's section called "Cartoons", gays are dieing off from AIDs.

International

WAR feels Aryans in the United States should focus their struggle in freeing North America from non-Whites. WAR's position is to

not recognize a border between White nations

. WAR feels the efforts of North American Aryans will have their greatest impact in North America although saving Europe from non-Whites is also important. WAR believes if North America is taken over by non-Whites Europe will soon follow, so the defense of North America is most important.(International)
