The March Massacre or March events is the name given to the massacre of ethnic Azerbaijanis in late March - early April 1918 by Bolshevik and Dashnak forces. According to various sources between 3,000 and 12,000 Muslims were killed. Less than six months later, in September 1918, Enver Pasha's Army of Islam supported by local Azeri forces recaptured Baku. At this point, revenge killings left an estimated 10,000 Armenians dead.
