Your reverts:Khawarij

It has been noted that since the last three times, you have twice again reverted the same edit, and again broken the 1RR. If you cannot get consensus from editors for your change, you cannot make the change. This is one of the basic rules of Misplaced Pages editing - see WP:CONSENSUS. There is no point in blanking your Talk page; any editor or admin can read it using the View History page. Perhaps you could explain on the Talk page why you want this edit, as it is not clear how "extremist" relates to "Khawarij". Can you do this, please? ~ P123ct1 (talk) 10:16, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Misplaced Pages this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. More importantly, in articles like Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, an editor must not perform more than one revert within a 24-hour period. In accordance with a July 2013 motion and community consensus on August 2013, editors of this article are restricted to 1 revert per 24 hours when reverting logged-in users. See this page for further details. Violations of this restriction will lead to blocks or other sanctions (such as page or topic bans). While edit warring on Misplaced Pages is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the one-revert rule on the said article will very likely to lead to a block. Thank you.
