The song was recorded as "A Man Without Love" by Engelbert Humperdinck (singer), who had a UK hit with it, and Sergio Franchi, and sung by The Sandpipers among others.
Humperdinck's version was used in the 2005 film Romance & Cigarettes.
In Spanish the song was sung as Cuando me enamoro in Japanese as Ai no hana saku toki (愛の花咲くとき), and in French as Comment te dire. The song has been covered by artists including Ray Conniff, Julio Iglesias, Lionel Hampton, Emilio Pericoli, Gigliola Cinquetti and Andrea Bocelli.
