Lee Areum (Korean: 이아름; born April 19, 1994), better known as simply Areum, is a South Korean idol singer and a former member of girl group T-ara.
Biography
1994–2012: Early life
Areum was born on 19 April 1994. She attends the Hanlim School of Arts in the Applied music faculty and has been the top of her class for the past years.
2012–2013: T-ara
See also: T-araAreum was added into T-ara in July 2012 as their eighth member and made her debut through Day by Day.
She was confirmed as the eighth member on 12 June 2012 and her company released official pictures of her on 14 June 2012.
She was already a trainee in the company prior to her debut.
As of 10 July 2013, she left T-ara to pursue a solo career in hip hop, whilst searching for opportunities of being an actress. As of 6 September 2014, Areum's contract has been terminated with Core Contents Media.
