Copyright and public domain

Hi there - in regard to File:Lizard squad's official logo.jpeg, note that any creative work, by default, is copyrighted. There is no requirement to register or mark a photo as having copyright for it to be copyrighted (this used to not be the case several decades ago, however). Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 19:54, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Please refrain from adding unreliable sources to pages (youtube, twitter, facebook etc).--Vaypertrail (talk) 13:55, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Dates & citations

Please see and read Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers. Your continued used of "3rd of September, 2014" as a style goes against the Manual of Style. You need to state that as September 3, 2014. only (talk) 16:19, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

I'll try and remember that, sorry Faissaloo (talk) 16:23, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

To add in another issue: when you add in citations, please be sure to also add "|title=insert title here" to the citation. If you look at the bottom of the article right now, you'll see many errors as a result of not having titles. Please make sure you include the article's titles when you cite from websites. only (talk) 16:43, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Ah so that's what that was for! Thanks, I was confused as to why there were two boxes for titles Faissaloo (talk) 16:47, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Edit warring

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lizard squad. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Please read up on our policies. You've made many reverts to users today on the article. I know I did a couple of reverts, too, but I'm stopping now in favor of discussion. only (talk) 16:42, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

yeah me too, I realised that we were going to keep going back and forth if we went on like that so I did go to the talk page, too bad I got that lightbulb moment too late :/ Faissaloo (talk) 16:57, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Edit warning 2

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Lizard squad shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — TPX

Information icon Welcome to Misplaced Pages. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Lizard squad, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. I can't find any source confirming that the FBI is doing anything about this small time hacking group. See discussion on article talk page. EoRdE6 (talk) 19:34, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I know, my mistake, I thought there were articles on it Faissaloo (talk) 21:07, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Lizard squad's official logo.jpeg

Thank you for uploading File:Lizard squad's official logo.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. EoRdE6 01:55, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
