- The Islamic State kills eight Lebanese soldiers in the northeastern Lebanese village of Ras Baalbek. (AP)

Target Canada announces layoffs on 17,000 employees and closure on 133 stores. (CBC)

A measles outbreak, believed to have originated from Disneyland (Anaheim), spreads from California to four other states and Mexico. (AJC)
