Freddie Prinze, Jr., enacts the contemporary counterpart role to Harrison's Professor Higgins. His wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar, provides a cameo appearance as a girl in the school's cafeteria. (The school, Torrance High, is the same school that served as Sunnydale High in Gellar's TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It also appears as the high school in Beverly Hills 90210.)
