Most Sindhis live in Pakistan but many Sindhi Hindus emigrated to India when the subcontinent was partitioned. The language of these people is also known as Sindhi.

Sindhi word is derived from the river Indus Called Sindh or Sindhu whic runs from ladakh to Arabian Sea. The Sindh privince, where most of Sindhis come from is in the South east of Pakistan it the area of River Indus where it starts to be broader. The land is flat & fertile.
Sindhi language is an indo aryan language which has mixed with Arabic Sanskirit and Persian with course of time. It has its own script which is similar to arabic but with lot of extra accents and phonetic. There are 52 characters in Sindhi language.
There are many words similar to traditional IndoAryan languages like Ar compared to arable aratro etc like Hari (Meaning Farmer) similar to harvest and so on.
Sindhi was a very popular literary language back in 14th-18th century this is when Sufis Like Shah Abdul Latif and numerous others narated ththeir theosophical peotry depicting the relationship of humans and God.
Sindhi language is taught as Fisrst language in Schools of South east Pakistan except in large metropolis like Karachi. Sindhi language has a vast vacublary which why it was the favourite of many writers and a lot of litrature & poetry was written.
Quraan was first time translated into Sindhi in rhymatic format this was the first ever translation of Quraan back in 12th century or earliar.
Culture:
Sindhi culture is pretty much of a mixture of Muslim & Hindu culture all religions are respected and a great unity between hindus & muslims is seen in Sindh when they visit the big sufis. Marriages are orgnised in Islamic way but no marriage is complete without the centuries old traditions and rituals.
Women wear very colorful clothes and put a chadore on head men traditionally wear white or blue dress and wear a turban on head this however has changed in cities.
