}} Ronald Jordan "R. J." Hunter (born October 24, 1993) is an American college basketball player for Georgia State Panthers where he is a junior on the 2014–15 team. He is the son of Georgia State coach Ron Hunter. R.J. was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year in both 2013–14 and 2014–15.
Collegiate career
On March 19, 2015, in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, Hunter made a deep 35-foot three-pointer with 2.6 seconds left to beat third-seed Baylor. His father and coach, Ron Hunter, who tore his Achilles tendon in the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Tournament, promptly fist pumped to the point that he fell out of his chair. Ron Hunter later said, "I know I broke something else but it doesn't even matter."
