Ronald Jordan "R. J." Hunter (born October 24, 1993) is an American college basketball player for the Georgia State Panthers. He is the son of Georgia State coach Ron Hunter.
Collegiate career
Hunter was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year in both 2013–14 and 2014–15.
As a junior on the 2014–15 Georgia State Panthers, Hunter made a 35-foot three-pointer with 2.6 seconds left to beat third-seed Baylor in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament on March 19, 2015. His father and coach, Ron Hunter, who tore his Achilles tendon during the celebration that occurred after Georgia State won the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Tournament, promptly fist pumped to the point that he fell out of his chair. Ron Hunter later said, "I know I broke something else but it doesn't even matter."
