Microsoft Surface 3 is a Windows tablet developed by Microsoft and unveiled on March 31, 2015. Similarly to the Surface 2, it is a lower-end counterpart to the Surface Pro 3, except unlike the 2, it utilizes an Intel Atom system-on-chip rather than Nvidia Tegra—and, thus, ships with Windows 8.1 rather than Windows RT.
