Principality of Ongal, officially Ecological Danubian Principality of Ongal (Template:Lang-bg), is a self-proclaimed microstate on a 3 parcels "No men land" on the western bank of the Danube river between borders of Croatia and Serbia.

Geography

It stands on the western bank of the Danube river about 85 km down to the hungarian border between borders of Croatia and Serbia. Before the Yugoslav Wars the territory was a part of a remarkable Nature reserve park, now divided between Croatia and Serbia by their borders and Danube river, excluding the pointed 3 small pieces of lend of the Ecological Princedom. First part of it is possession "Rid" - unmarked on the map very small cape (about 0,018 sq.km) at the other side of the Danube opposite to the serbian town of Apatin. Second is "Gorno Podunavie" - it`s about 0.11 sq.km island, 3,5 km south of "Rid" (marked as "Pocket 2" on the map). The third is "Dolno Podunavie" (market as "Pocket 3" on the map) about 0.598 sq. km semi-island, 5 km south of "Gorno Podunavie".

Specifics

The Ecological Danubian Principality Ongal was proclaimed on the 24 of May 2015 by bulgarian and hungarian citizens in Sofia “with the reason to take care for this abandoned and not cleaned of explosive mines 3 small pieces of lends and its more than 1,6 km Danubian banks destroying by the flow of the river”. The state is Absolute monarchy govern by the Knyaz (Prince) and his ministers – chancellor minister and minister of ecology, as the lends are a previous Nature park and no inhabitеd forest, there are no permanent residents, the Principality have no population on the ground and any other form of government type or elections are impossible. On the 17 of June 2015 Principality addressed letters for friendship and protection to Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria. The Ecological Principality has established the mutual recognizing and diplomatic relations with other similar status state - The “Principality of New Atlantis” (floating island in the Pacific Ocean) and receive greetings from neighbor self-proclaimed country the Kingdom of Enclava , for now it have no other recognition by other countries, or by the United Nations.

Disputes with other Micronations

The Confederation of Âûtia claimed this area, along the northernmost enclave on April 16th 2015, rendering the claim of the principality of Ongal invalid.
