Terry William Rozier (born March 17, 1994) is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He made the AAC All-Rookie Team in 2014. He was also the Derby Classic MVP in 2012. He was drafted 16th overall in the 2015 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics.
High school career
Rozier starred at Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, graduating in 2012. In his senior year, he averaged 25.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.7 steals, leading Shaker to a 21-3 record and taking them to the regional semifinal in 2012 for the first time since 2002. He was an All-Lake Erie League player for three years and was rated 74th overall in the 2012 ESPNU Top 100 players.
Due to grades, Rozier played for Hargrave Military Academy for a year before becoming a Cardinal. At Hargrave, Rozier averaged 29.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.6 assist. Hargrave went 38-8 during the 2012–13 season.
College career
As a sophomore, Rozier led the Cardinals in scoring with 17.1 points per game. On March 30, 2015, Rozier and Louisville teammate Harrell declared for the NBA draft.
Professional career
Rozier was selected with the 16th pick of the 2015 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics.
