The Kingdom of Enclava is a self-proclaimed micronation, situated in a territory between Croatia and Serbia.

Description

In April of 2015, a group of Polish tourists visiting Slovenia learned from locals that a particular strip of land on the Danube near the town of Metlika lay unclaimed by Slovenia and Croatia following the breakup of Yugoslavia. The group, apparently led by Piotr Wawrzynkiewicz, decided to claim the land, and called it Enclava. A month later, the Slovenian Foreign Ministry stated that the land was Slovenian territory, and the Enclava project relocated to a small unclaimed plot on the Croatia-Serbia border, near another unrecognized micronation, Liberland.

Like other self-declared micronations, Enclava is not recognized as a country by any other nation on Earth, nor is it likely to become so. The territory is unpopulated, though over 100 applicants have been granted "citizenship". The Enclava website lists several different government ministers, all of whom also bear aristocratic titles, and provides a list of essential freedoms; it also declares an opposition to taxes. The website lists the cryptocurrency Dogecoin as the official currency of Enclava.

Due to differences in the border definitions, the yellow-colored parts to the east are claimed by both Serbia and Croatia. The green parts have remained unclaimed by both sides. Enclava claims Pocket 1.
