Hungama TV is a TV channel for children in India based in Mumbai. Originally a subsidiary of UTV Software Communications launched in 2004, the channel was sold to Disney in 2006. Ironically, Disney bought UTV in 2011. The channel helped to increase Disney's presence in India. Hungama is now an operating unit of Disney Channel Worldwide.
Programming
Hungama TV airs children's anime shows such as Pokémon, Doraemon, Beyblade and Shin Chan, with a focus aimed at children aged 4–14. Pokemon anime became the biggest hits on the tv and viewership also increased . In May pokemon xy was started on every Saturday 4:00 pm . After the success of pokemon hungama started airing Beyblade with a new dubbing . Currently Hungama is paying attention to anime shows and animated shows .
