Kian John Francis Egan, known as Kian Egan, is one of four members of Irish boy band Westlife. He was born Cian on April 29, 1980 in Sligo, Ireland. He plays many instruments inside and outside the group, including the piano and guitar. Kian Egan's credits in the band include writing songs such as "Don't Let Me Go" and "When You Come Around." His family includes his parents: Patricia and Kevin; his brothers: Tom, Gavin, and Colm; and his sisters: Marielle, Vivienne, and Fenella.

Kian has a strong interest in surfing, and during his holidays, he can normally be found catching a wave on Strandhill beach, Sligo - or in London with his girlfriend Jodi Albert of Hollyoaks.
